When to Split, When to Stand and When to Double Down

There is more to playing Vegas Strip Blackjack than just guessing when to say Hit me and when to take it to the next level. Below we have outlined the best times to stand, the best times to split and the best times to double down to increase your odds of winning big:

• Double down on two fives unless the dealer has a ten or ace. Then hit.
• Double down on ten’s and eleven’s unless the dealer has an Ace up
• On anything 17 and above, it is advisable to stand.
• Split on two aces, two eights
• Split on two sixes and two sevens unless the dealer has 10 or above.
• Split on two nines unless the dealer has a seven, a ten or an ace. They stay.
• Stay on two tens regardless of what the dealer has.
• Stay on an ace and eight.
• Stay on an ace and seven unless the dealer has nine or higher.
